Based in Horry County, Confidence Hoops Confidence Cougars (CHCC) is a premier competitive travel basketball program dedicated to developing well-rounded athletes through elite training, fundamental skill mastery, and advanced basketball IQ.

CHCC competes in top-tier tournaments, including Inside Exposure, Ohio Basketball, Select Events, ASGR, NTBA, and USS. CHCC operates as a summer and off-season development program designed to prepare aspiring collegiate and professional athletes for the next level of competition.

Confidence Hoops was founded by Larry Roberts, a Coastal Carolina University basketball alumnus and NJCAA Ellsworth Community College Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach, who envisioned creating a premier girls’ basketball program dedicated to showcasing the exceptional, yet often overlooked, talent of the Horry County region.

Driven by this vision, Roberts partnered with Co-Founder Destany Eagles, a Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute basketball alumna, former Carolina Forest High School Head JV Girls Basketball Coach, and ECBL semi-professional athlete with the Florence Lady Wildcats. Together, they established the Confidence Hoops organization in June 2015, with a mission to provide elite development, exposure, and opportunity for aspiring student athletes. Rebranded in February 2023 as Confidence Hoops Confidence Cougars (CHCC).
